Day Trading

DAY TRADING, WHAT IS IT

With day trading, you make trading on the stock exchange your daily activity. Instead or working, you're now earning your money through trading. You're constantly monitoring all the charts and looking for trading opportunities. The stock market is open 5 days a week, so these 5 days you're probably busy trading and searching for opportunities.

How much time does day trading take

Day trading, or actually just trading, can take as much time as you want. The forex market (currency trading) is open approximately 23/5. Company stocks are open during business hours or the respective country where the company is based. It depends heavily on your strategy how much time you spend trading.

The Forex market is open 23/5, but it's not equally exciting on the market throughout the day. Of course, it depends very much on which currency you're trading and at what times it's exciting. JPY (Japanese yen) will see the most action during the Asian session, USD (US dollar) sees the most action during the American session, EUR (Euro) sees the most action during the European session. You can generally stick to this. However, you'll see that during the American session there's the most movement in the market.

Is day trading right for me

In principle, anyone can learn to trade. There are or course some characteristics that don't really promote trading and some that you'll really need. To trade successfully, you must first be mentally strong. Situations will arise that can really hit hard and be difficult. You must remain businesslike and be able to turn orf your emotions. This is very difficult when it involves making money. You must have discipline. You must work in a very disciplined manner and be able to stick to your strategy; if you don't, you won't succeed. You must be able to make quick decisions and not doubt your strategy once you've tested it thoroughly.

These are all characteristics that you can largely teach yourself. If you're well prepared, you too can trade. I certainly wouldn't advise against starting to trade. But if you're going to trade, do it well prepared, otherwise it's a waste or your time and money.

The advantage or trading, investing or trading on the stock exchange is that you can determine yourself how much time you spend on it. In principle, you can combine day trading well with work, school or studies. In other words, it can be a form or extra income alongside your work, studies or school. You can earn good money with trading if you do it the right way. You'd get up half an hour earlier for that, wouldn't you?

Trading orfers opportunities, you can make a lot or money and create freedom with it. There are more ways to do this, but I think trading on the stock exchange is a good way to make money, it's just obviously not easy.

WHAT CAN YOU EARN WITH DAY TRADING

You can earn an enormous amount or money trading on the stock market! If you do it right, you can go from €5000 to €1,000,000 in a year. This is obviously the goal or every trader. But it's not that easy.

I once read a story about two guys who went from €30,000 to €2,000,000 within two months and then back to €0 within two months! With high risk you can earn a lot, but as you can see, also lose a lot. It's nice, or course, to follow and see all the success stories on Instagram and Facebook. They are the few % who have managed to become millionaires quickly. And that possibility exists for everyone! It's just not that easy, requires a lot or perseverance and discipline.

To turn a small amount into a very large sum requires a lot or discipline. There are certain rules for trading, and they exist for good reason. Many people who start trading lose money, and everyone who trades loses money at some point. The whole idea behind the rules is to limit your losses and let your prorits cover your losses + take a prorit. In that case, it's not bad to only get 1 out or 3 trades right because your prorits cover your losses and on top or that you make a prorit. In other words, you end up in the positive.

It's said that the best traders in the world have between 50% and 60% or their trades correct. In other words, these trades go as they expect and end in the positive. So you must be able to deal with your losses, because you will get them and with some regularity too.
